LABORATORY PROCEDURES FOR ANIMAL & HUMAN CELL LINES REFERENCE NO: AHC/1998/2/3
TITLE: CATALOGUE ENTRY AND RELEASE OF MATERIAL
INTRODUCTION
When the cell line has passed quality control tests, it is made ready for distribution. Entry in relevant database is made and is included for the next catalogue edition.
PROCEDURE
- The catalogue entry is prepared and entered into the collection management database following the CABRI recommended data input processes (see Guidelines for Catalogue Production)
- Following proof reading by the responsible of cell banking, the catalogue entry is submitted to the depositor with a standard letter for confirmation (
AHC/1998/2/3 Appendix 1).
Final approval of the catalogue entry is made by responsible of cell collection.
A distribution bank is prepared from the master bank according to protocol AHC/1998/3/2.3/1, AHC/1998/3/2.3/2.
The cell line is released into the collection for distribution, see AHC/1998/2/3 Appendix 2
The new catalogue entry is included in the next edition of the collection catalogue. Updates and transfer of the collection catalogue file are made following specifications in Guidelines for Catalogue Production.
